Visual & Performing Arts 

All too often the significant impact of visual and performing arts through robust enrichment experiences is sometimes overlooked.  But at PS 11 we know these programs are critical to readying our scholars for engaging . Research continues to support the importance of performing arts with clear indicators that these programs develop students’ social-emotional and interpersonal skills, enrich their experiences in school, allow them to better handle constructive criticism, and improve academic achievement and overall mental focus.

We are proud to offer all our scholars and opportunity to perform on stage for their family, caregivers and the entire PS 11 community each year!  Another hallmark experience uniquely PS 11 in partnership with our amazing dance residency (Alvin Ailey trained), in house dance teacher, chorus, music teacher, art teacher and host of additional partnerships. Our annual performances include Holidays Around The World, Black History also paying homage to Women’s History Month and our Multi Cultural Dance festival.  Subscribe to our youtube channel to view our amazing scholars in action and enjoy the shows!
