There is no makeup day*
Please make sure your student is dressed in a white shirt with a collar or a high-necked white blouse. The studio will provide the cap & gown for the photo. There is no cost to take the picture, you may order copies once you receive the proof.
*If your child is absent you will need to schedule an appointment to take the picture at the studio. Please note there is a $20 fee for the appointment so make every effort for your child to be present on Picture Day.

They will be engaging in many activities during their gym classes that will get their hearts moving and set them up with life long physical activity practices. PS 11 has partenered with the Habits of the Minds Institute to further foster our mission to create a learning community where we develop a thoughtful, cooperative, and compassionate generation of students who skillfully work to resolve social, environmental, economic and political problems. In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. PS 11 proudly presents the 2nd annual Dads Day of Service on Friday, January 17, 2020. Fathers are invited to come in an assist in various areas throughout the building ( classrooms, office, supply rooms, lunchroom, recess, etc.) between the hours of 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.
Holidays Around the World Performances taking place Friday, December 20 starting at 9:00 am sharp. Although only our kindergarten - grade 2 students will be performing, all parents are welcome to attend the show. It is a wonderful way to kick off the Winter Recess break.

Join PS 11’s garden committee and help with the routine maintenance of our learning garden. Maintenance includes watering plants, pruning, weeding, removing liter, maintaining the compost bin, and picking ripe fruits, vegetables and herbs. If you’d like to help out, email Nicole Halsey at schoolwellness@ps11bk.org. Stay in the know about garden activities by attending the monthly school wellness council meetings.
