Talking About Race with your Children

The School Leadership Team and the School Wellness Council welcomes back the Center For Racial Justice In Education in leading this enlightening caregiver-focused workshop. THE TOP 3 REASONS YOU SHOULD ATTEND ARE: 1) To develop skills for approaching age-appropriate conversations using a racial equity lens with the tools provided at this workshop. 2) Gain strategies and tools to promote positive racial identity development in children, which not only promotes healthy overall wellbeing but has also shown to help further boost academic success. 3) Continue to provide the School Leadership Team with your feedback for sustaining ongoing dialogue. We welcome all suggestions and feedback!

Due to the planned group interactive activities, this event is limited to the first 35 registrants. Completion of the first series is highly recommended as this is a continuation from the first workshop hosted May 8, 2019.

Light Refreshments will be served. We will start PROMPTLY AT 5:30 as there is a lot to cover.
